Directions to Glin Castle :

From Shannon Airport follow signs for Limerick.

There are a series of roundabouts before you join the N18 south for Limerick city. After approximately 8 miles on the N18 there is a roundabout.

Take the third exit signed for Cork and Tralee. After approximately 2 miles there is another roundabout. Take the second exit again signed for Cork and Tralee. This will bring you to the bridge over the Shannon River.

Directly over the bridge is another roundabout and take the third exit signed N69 for Foynes. You are now on the south bank of the Shannon and follow the N69 for 32 miles till reaching the town of Glin.

Turn left up the main street of the town (signed Athea) off the N69 and then take first right at O'Shaughnessy's pub. The castle gates are ahead of you at the end of this street.
